Best Song Remixes of 2008 / 2009

In terms of remixes, 2008 bought success to many remixes due to the power of blogging. It’s this success which has led many DJ’s to gain publicity and therefore fame. So here’s a short list of my favourite mixes of last year. You’ll have to find your own way of downloading the tracks though as due to copyright issues I’m unable to list them.

1. The all time best has to be the Soulwax Nite Version of MGMT’s Kids. A brilliant song, a true original mix.

2. Next up is the highly popular track Love Lockdown by the superior Kanye West. This version I’m writing about is the 1994 Pilotpriest Remix.

3. Due to ALOT of publicity and being featured on various ads (I think!), this next song is pretty well known. You guessed it…
   Black Kids Feat. Lil Wayne – Not Gonna Teach Him (The Twelves Kickmix)
4. This mix is another one of my personal favourites. Very original with a bit of an old skool mixup.
   Kid Sister – Pro Nails (ft. Kanye West ) (Simian Mobile Disco Remix)
5. Albeit a very catchy tune, this song has some serious originality. Not one of my favourites, but has been recommend by many.
   M.I.A. – Paper Planes – Remix For The Children by Adrock
6. Known by many and highly popular on iTunes. It’s got to be The Killers – Human. The Killers must be laughing with the amount of remixes of their songs.

7. Another mix of MGMT’s kids which is also VERY good. Worth a listen.

8. Quite a recent song, Franz Ferdinand’s Ulysses is a real morning waker.

9. One of my favourite tracks of all time, here’s one from the Kaisers.

10. Last but certainly not least, yet another one from MGMT.
